Job: Fee For Service LCSW or LMSW Children’s Therapist
Location: New York, NY
A Good Place Therapy is a bicoastal private practice offering compassionate and effective psychotherapy for adults, couples, children, teens, and families with offices located in Downtown Manhattan NYC, San Francisco and Palo Alto CA. We strive in our practice to uncover clients’ unseen strengths, to challenge the norms that cloud their potential, in order to facilitate sustainable, psychological and social change.
Job Type: Fee For Service, minimum scale to 18 billable hours a week.
Pay Rate:
LMSW - 45 minute individual session $45-$60 // 60 minute couple/family session $60-$75
LCSW - 45 minute individual session $65-$80 // 60 minute couple/family session $80-$95
Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced NY licensed LCSW or LMSW to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Provide psychotherapy to individual children (expertise working with couples, adults, teens, and families is a plus)
Develop and implement biopsychosocial assessments and treatment plans based on mutually identified goals
Practice within theoretical framework of solutions-oriented, CBT, relational and/or psychodynamic approach
Creatively integrate evidence-based techniques into practice, based on clients’ needs
Collaborate with additional treatment providers and stakeholders
Ensure all documentation, including treatment plans, contact logs, and progress notes are completed in a timely manner
Other responsibilities as may be required by employer
Qualifications:
At least 1 year experience in the field of mental health counseling
Master's degree from an accredited program
Active New York License/Registration: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Master Social Work (LMSW)
Education, training and demonstrated success in implementing evidence-based practice modalities, such as CBT, ERP, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, trauma-informed practice
Clinicians with psychodynamic approaches and an interest in theory and/or holistic practices are strongly encouraged to apply as well
Familiarity and comfort with the DSM-5, including assessment and diagnosis
Familiarity with community mental health resources
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Strong leadership qualities, ability to show initiative and practice autonomously
Knowledge of crisis management and safety planning
Demonstrated growth mindset
Demonstrated cultural competence in gender identity, race, culture, class, sexuality, religion, nationality
Demonstrated commitment to liberation, anti-racist, anti-oppressive social work and psychotherapy
Post-graduate training a plus
Requirements:
Contribute to marketing and networking to obtain referrals
Flexible hours conducive to scheduling clients, evenings and/or weekends required
Pursue outside training and professional development opportunities to meet State CE requirements and effectively serve client caseload
Adhere to the NASW, BBS and APA code of ethics
Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
