Introducing Our New Office Space!

Author: Kerrie Mohr

We are thrilled to reveal our new office space located at 225 Broadway, Suite 2070! In designing our new offices, our goal was to ensure that from the moment our clients and therapists entered our space, they felt comfortable and welcomed. We believe a great therapy space goes beyond aesthetics. Much like our first suite, our designer Lea Stiggle of E&ICO set out to create a place where clients truly felt at home. A main focus was to bring in natural elements with calming effects like wood tones and greenery. Each of the 12 office spaces has a different theme and color scheme and its own unique energy.

We set out to create a healing and harmonious environment with a color palette inspired by nature. My favorite place to linger is the lobby, where all of the elements converge. The abundant natural wood, textured cork wallpaper, and plants create an oasis of serenity. Our hope is that when a client enters the space they can feel the love and effort that went into making the space an urban sanctuary. When a client steps through the door, the  stress and hustle of NYC fades away so that when they begin their therapy session, they are already calm and present.

Another major reason we expanded our footprint was so we could better serve families and children. In our original suite, it was challenging to navigate our waiting room with a stroller. In the new space, we were able to carve out offices specifically designed for small children with plenty of options for play therapy. We also wanted to build a nurturing environment for our therapists, so we designed a dedicated space for them to meet up between sessions, where they can socialize and share their lunches and coffee together.

On October 5th, for the first time, we will open our suite to a limited number of clients. We have taken steps to ensure adequate social distancing is possible and instituted best practices for cleanliness and sanitation. A Good Place will be following strict in-person safety measures including:

  • Masks required at all times

  • Temperature checks

  • Staggered scheduling of sessions

  • At least 6 feet away from clients

  • Hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes & sprays throughout the therapy rooms

We are also installing powerful air purifiers that reduce air contaminants like bacteria and viruses by an average of 93%. We’ll be sharing a COVID-specific liability release form that both clients and staff will sign. We’ll also be taking your temperature onsite. If you are arriving after 6PM or on a weekend, your therapist will also need to leave your initials only (not your full name for privacy!)  with the security guard in the building lobby due to increased security diligence. Finally, therapists will not schedule back to back in-person sessions, to ensure we can minimize the number of people in the waiting room.

Because in most cases we have found virtual therapy to be as effective as in-person therapy, we will continue to provide most of our services over our secure Zoom platform. However, we are very happy to welcome back clients who have compromised confidentiality in their homes, are heading back to their offices and want to leave to attend a therapy session, or have other reasons that virtual sessions aren’t meeting their needs.

To schedule your first session or to request a free 15 minute consultation call, please use our secure scheduling form or call us at 212-227-4343.
