Life After COVID-19: Navigating the World and Supporting Your Mental Health Post Pandemic
This month's Community Support Series will be led by AGP therapists Alysha Perlman and Colleen Woodward.
As more and more people get vaccinated, the number of COVID-19 infections and deaths are finally declining. We know this won’t last forever, but a lot of us are wondering - how do we go back to our normal life after the pandemic?⠀
⠀
Join us for a FREE community support series as AGP therapists Colleen Woodward and Alysha Perlman cover the anticipated and unanticipated anxiety around the world ‘re-opening’. This can present differently for everyone. They will explore the reasoning behind why you may be feeling nervous about the world reopening even if you do not usually experience anxiety, as well as provide coping strategies to support you through this transition.⠀
⠀
Alysha has been a psychotherapist with A Good Place for almost 4 years. Alysha specializes in anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, relationship stressors, and the intersectionality of these. The unknown can create a lot of anxiety and is often difficult to respond to, without the tools! Alysha likes to work with individuals and couples to develop healthy ways of coping, and challenge thought patterns to build resiliency.⠀
⠀
Colleen specializes in treating anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, and life transitions while using methods such as CBT and strengths-based approaches. Entering therapy and being vulnerable with our emotions can be anxiety-inducing and scary. Colleen likes to create a space where her clients can feel comfortable navigating their emotions while also developing healthy ways of coping that they can use in their day to day lives. ⠀
