A note from Clare:
It can be daunting and freeing to ask for help. Maybe you’re feeling stuck and ambivalent in the day to day. Perhaps you’re burnt-out with work or school, or you’re seeking healing from something that haunts you. Maybe you’re experiencing anxiety about the future or concerns about your relationships. Maybe you are struggling with sleep or have experienced a loss. Or maybe you are looking to cultivate a deeper understanding of yourself. Your experience is your own, and by reading this page, you’ve already taken a courageous step towards healing and growth. I welcome you.
As a therapist, here is my goal: create a safe, compassionate, and curious space where you can be unapologetically yourself. I value and utilize collaboration in the therapeutic room. Together we will examine the patterns that have you seeking change, process how you and your environment interact, and explore those inner voices that can build you up and, at times, tear you down. My approach is person-centered, meaning you are the driver here and I am a passenger prepared to help you navigate the journey in a way tailor-built for you. Furthermore, I pull from cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness techniques, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy. I will incorporate mindfulness during our sessions to help you bring awareness to your experience in the room and you can expect a space free from judgment, and filled with empathy.
The clients I have worked with have ranging circumstances and my background helps me remain sensitive to different cultures and experiences while curating our therapy to your unique needs and goals. My clients and I have often focused on depression, grief & loss, developing coping skills, trauma healing, OCD, anxiety and stress; and major life adjustments (e.g. medical diagnosis or changes in health, breakups, leaving home or moving, career changes). Whatever your journey has been to bring you to this moment, I am here to support you. If you are ready for another step in the process, consider booking a free consultation.
