A Note from Sarah:
At times, life can feel like we are shouldering an immense burden or climbing an endless mountain. Even though reaching out for help can feel overwhelming, no one should have to face these challenges on their own. My personal experiences with mental health, combined with seeing loved ones face mental health challenges, motivated me to pursue a career in therapy. I wanted to provide others with the same transformative support and healing that I gained from my own therapist.
I understand that finding a therapist you connect with can be challenging, but discovering someone who genuinely listens and understands you can make a huge difference in your mental health journey. I have made it my life's mission to cultivate an environment where my clients feel heard and supported. One where they look forward to our weekly sessions and knowing that I am firmly in their corner as they sit across from me on the couch. From working with adolescents and young adults in New York City to working with adults in crisis in Washington State, my dedication to each individual has remained unwavering. You deserve to feel valued and empowered, and I am here to help you navigate your journey.
My Approach:
I offer a safe and supportive environment through an empathetic and compassionate approach, blending psychodynamic work, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed methods. My passion lies in inner child work, exploring the mind-body connection, and facilitating post-traumatic growth. I find fulfillment in working with individuals during life transitions, drawing on my own experiences of grappling with self-discovery and understanding during similar periods. My goal is to help clients uncover their inner strength and develop a set of effective coping strategies. I customize my approach to fit each client’s unique needs, and together, we will set and work towards your goals.
No matter what path you have taken to arrive at this point, I am here to support you every step of the way. If you are ready for the next step in the process, consider booking a free consultation. I look forward to working together on your mental health journey.
I am pleased to share that I am in-network with Aetna Insurance.
