A note from Meg:
Everyone has hidden resources. Each one of us has the strength within to weather the inevitable storms of life. My goal as a therapist is to help my clients explore their potential, while building emotional strength and resilience. I believe in relational, collaborative work that affects real change. You may find yourself needing help with some of life’s major decisions or you may want to do some deep analysis of your thoughts and behaviors. Whatever the priority, I am here to partner with you and support your process. I utilize rapport-building and curious compassion to make strong connections with my clients, and I respect the unique life story that each of us has to share.
My Approach
I engage both psychodynamic and cognitive approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am experienced in Family Systems Therapy and can help both families and individuals examine their experience as part of a family dynamic.
As a mother raising teenagers, I am keenly aware of the challenges faced by young people today and the stresses of parenting. I use psychosocial treatment for children with ADHD and help parents with behavior modification techniques. I employ CBT, psychotherapy, and psychoeducation in my work with adolescents and adults struggling with anxious distress and depressive symptoms. I am here to see you, trust you, and understand you. Whatever issue brings you to therapy, I welcome the opportunity to help you flourish and find success that only you can define.
