A note from Erica:
“The shadow is the greatest teacher for how to come to the light.” -Ram Dass
As a native New Yorker, I understand the profound impact life experiences can have on our well-being and how this kinetic city shapes our lives. I have questioned: Am I enough? Am I doing enough?
I’ve learned that everything that we go through matters, sometimes it’s obvious, sometimes it takes work to reveal. I am here to honor and explore the significance of every step in your process.
With a creative background, I enjoy reading memoirs and traveling, bringing a greater understanding to the facets in the rich tapestry of the human experience. Through feelings of isolation during the pandemic and my own participation in therapy, I made a shift to pursue a career in helping others.
My own practice in Mindfulness has taught me to cultivate awareness and recognize that we are always in choice. To this, I am a proponent of the mind, body, spiritual connection as well as a good dose of humor.
I have an unwavering curiosity and am a highly sensitive person. My goal is to meet you wherever you are in your story with openness and empathy. I want to help you become your own best problem-solver and advocate. By exploring your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationship patterns in the present and the past, we can come to a greater understanding of your strength, wisdom, and untapped potential.
My Approach:
My approach is collaborative and conversational rooted in psychodynamic, interpersonal, and attachment theory with a deep interest in your advancement. Applying an integrative approach, utilizing trauma-informed modalities, such as, EMDR, IFS, and Somatic psychotherapy, as well as evidence-based approaches of CBT and DBT.
I strive to provide clients with genuine and warm therapeutic care through understanding each person in the context of their own unique culture, values, and life experiences.
Your story matters, and I am privileged to work alongside you as you uncover its hidden depths of self-discovery.
